All fine art takes time to create.
The reference material or photos are of the most importance.
“The painting depends on my ability to see the subject. I find that when I take photos, I like to be on the same level as my subject. If it is a small dog, I will get down on the ground, or the same eye level, so the subject is not distorted. I take many, many photos, with the hope that one or two will be what I am looking for. Then the work begins, with numerous small drawings and sketches, to see how the composition will look in the painting. I try to not only capture a likeness, but to create a work of art that will grace your home forever”.
If you have a special photo that you would like to have captured forever in a watercolor, please feel free to contact me.
Prices for Original Paintings depend on size and complexity. Pricing for multiple subjects in the same painting will naturally be higher than a single subject. My older work, double matted, 20 x 24 frame size - are typically $800 - $900. Complex, larger or multiple subjects will be higher. All of my new work is larger and framed 22 x 28 or 24 x 30 and is priced higher.
You may request any size un-matted print from 8 1/2 x 11 up to 13 x 19. Price will be determined on the size and type of the print.
